Gibson Mill
All the details have been previously sent out by email. If you haven’t already done so please can you email chair@bishopthorpecc.co.uk with your phone number so that you can be added to the WhatsApp Group, as this is the way information will be shared about the visit.
The day is based on the beautiful Hardcastle Crags woodland walk including much of the river walk alongside Hebden Water. The woodland contains many beech trees that produce beautiful colours during Autumn. There are several places to get up close to Hebden Water that will also mean you can explore long exposure photography with moving water, so please bring your tripod and ND filters.
Brief details: Meet at 10.00am at the Upper car park, after a walk of approx. 1 mile, we will come to Gibson Mill where we can explore around the Mill and have refreshments in the Café meeting at 11.30pm. After Gibson Mill, people can continue to participate in the walk, or choose to do their own thing. The walk crosses the river and follows the river, crossing 3 foot bridges on the way. The return route is marked on the map with another café meet optional at 2.30pm. If the weather and lighting is suitable for creative image making this walk could easily take 5 hours to complete.
Everyone is welcome, including visitors, please contact either the email above or the Secretary at secretary@bishopthorpecc.co.uk for all the details.
