Zoom Meeting: Bill Ward: Away from the Limelight
This event has been rescheduled from 24 September to Thursday 17 September.
Advertising executive turned actor Bill Ward will be known to TV and theatre aficionados, perhaps especially through his roles in Coronation Street, Emmerdale, The Bill and Heartbeat. Less well known is Bill’s lifelong affair with photography and its role as a counterbalance to the intensity of acting.
Bill is a Pentax Ambassador and his photography has won many awards including the Adobe Prize in the 2015 UK Landscape Photographer of the Year and the Best Seascape in the 2019 Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year. Bill has held several solo exhibitions of his work and has a permanent collection in the Mick Oxley Gallery in Craster in his native Northumberland.
Bill’s award-winning landscapes reflect the emotions he experiences during his communes with nature. He is particularly drawn to water and his images convey a sense of peace. As you might expect from an actor Bill is an articulate communicator and will share with us what fuels his passion for making outstanding images.
Bill has kindly donated the featured ‘Onwards my little creatures, onwards’ as a signed, numbered, mounted 8×12″ print for us to raffle, with the draw being made by him on the evening. Tickets cost £5 each and to reserve your ticket(s) and for payment details, please contact email@example.com.
Check out Bill’s photographic work on his website.
Visitors and members of other clubs are welcome to attend (£5). Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for payment details so that you can be sent the Zoom link for Bill’s talk.
There are advantageous rates for individuals joining for the full Autumn season and also for Clubs wishing to sign up 5 or more attendees for the talks. Please check out our various subscriptions here. If you are interested or wish to know more, please contact email@example.com.
Please note that this meeting will be held on a Thursday evening owing to Bill’s availability so is additional to the main programme.
