The Colour Purple Cuppa & Capture, 7 Aug 2023
Purple light does not have a specific wavelength unlike its close cousin violet. For this reason, it is sometimes called a non-spectral color. Notwithstanding this purple clearly exists in literature and art and is apparently the colour most often associated with royalty, vanity, religion, materialism and beauty. It is also associated with quite a few idioms.
Although there is no sign of any members of the Royal Family our capturers have found a plethora of purple* subjects. The gallery is a feast of creative edits, fabulous flowers, stunning sunrises, fantastic fabrics, great spots and nods to some of the idioms and favourite music. Enjoy.
*Bear in mind that purple is not a specific colour 😉
