Tom Way: The greater picture
We are delighted that Tom Way has accepted our invitation to speak to the Club.
Tom is recognised for his powerful and engaging portraiture of Africa’s large mammals. He favours a fine art black and white style of photography, and his images are widely exhibited in galleries and exhibitions. His work has received multiple awards in the world’s leading photographic competitions, including Wildlife Photographer of the Year and GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
Tom’s presentation this evening, ‘The greater picture’, will give a broad overview of Tom’s life as a fine art wildlife photographer. He will demonstrate the various camera settings used to create his preferred style, whilst speaking about the components that he feels are essential in creating evocative wildlife imagery. And, of course, expect some spectacular images!
For more information, please see Tom’s website, Facebook and Instagram pages.
Visitors
Visitors are welcome (£5 per person, or £7.50 per couple, shared screen). We have introduced a new automated booking system so you can book a place simply by clicking on either the ‘Buy Single Visitor Ticket’ or ‘Buy Joint Visitor Ticket’ button at the bottom of this page.
After selecting your single or joint ticket type, you will be asked to register for or login to your account. This is necessary for us to confirm your booking and send you the Zoom link automatically by email. You only need to register once.
Once you have booked, the Zoom link will also appear at the bottom of this page whenever you are logged in, so if you inadvertently lose the email, you can still be able to access the Zoom link on the website.
We hope that you will find the automated booking system straightforward to use, but please contact Julia if you have any problems.
