Cuppa & Capture

Our Cuppa & Capture (C&C) group meets at 12 noon on alternate Mondays on the first floor at York Theatre Royal for a brew, bite to eat and natter before heading off to take pictures around York. There is a new theme each time, which encourages a fresh look at our beautiful city.

Anyone is welcome to join us at the C&C meetings (you do not have to be a Club member). There is no charge. Please email for more information or chat to Bryan Stanton at one of our fortnightly meetings. Alternatively, just turn up on the day and introduce yourself to Bryan and the rest of the group at the York Theatre Royal.

The themes over the years are too many to list here but, to give some idea, they have included: Abandoned; Above eye level; Affluence; Connections; Damaged; Framed; Opposites; Poverty; Strength; Things I really dislike and Waiting. Occasionally the group ventures further afield, including a joint trip with the Photo Walks group to the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington.

For future C&C themes, please check out What’s On.

After the meeting, up to five images are submitted by each participant and included in a gallery on the website. For information about how to submit images, please see Submitting Images from Cuppa & Capture.

Images shown below are just a small selection taken during our 2019 Cuppa & Capture outings. All the images, together with a short report on each outing, are posted in the Cuppa & Capture Galleries.
