Starting off with a superb bacon sandwich at the Sun Parlour cafe, we explored the old streets of Ripon and its riverside walks. Wandering through the Spa gardens, alongside the River Skell (not forgetting the Fairy Steps), up to the Cathedral with it’s Saxon crypt, and taking in the lovely old buildings, including the Art Deco swimming baths and numerous museums, we enjoyed good weather and good company.
