The gallery contains another fantastic collection of members’ images covering a vast range of subjects and a wide range of styles from abstract to wildlife.
There are of course images featuring ‘shadows’ that have been cast, but also many examples of members taking the opportunity to explore the use of darker tones in the image to create and convey mood. Black is back? Black is the new black? Certainly, it seems so! There were plenty of images with little to no detail in the shadows and very effective they were too. Who knew that the camera sensor’s limitations could be used to such good advantage. This was well set out by Sean Tucker in his video; ‘Embrace your Shadows: A lesson for Light and Life’.
