PLEASE NOTE: In view of the escalating Coronavirus situation, and in the light of the latest Government advice, it is with regret that all future Photowalks are cancelled until further notice. Please visit our website regularly for updates, where we will also be posting on-line opportunities for activities that might help to keep us in touch and enjoying our photography together.
The Club runs Photo Walks, which take place approximately once a month in both rural and urban locations mostly around Yorkshire, but sometimes a little further afield. We have recently visited Saltaire, several locations in the Yorkshire Wolds, the North York Moors Railway, Leeds, Hull and the Humber Bridge.
The walks are a great opportunity to stretch your legs and unleash your creativity. They are very sociable, and you’ll be in the company of like-minded people who are also keen to take photographs. There is always someone on hand to give you a tip or help you out.
Before each Photo Walk, the organisers provide information and a map of the area. We often meet up in a café for a chat before heading off on the walk. You are free to go at your own pace and we usually reconvene at the end of the walk for a cup of tea.
Anyone is welcome to join us on the Photo Walks, not just members of the Club. It is helpful to know who is coming, so if you are interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We keep in touch through a WhatsApp group, and this is particularly important in case of last minute changes. We also post details on our Bishopthorpe Camera Club Photo Walks Facebook page so please sign up to both the WhatsApp and Facebook groups.
