Pickering – Photo Walk  Photo Walks, 23 Sep 2023

The NYMR certainly did put on a fine display of engines for their 50th Anniversary Steam Gala, and what a spectacle it was to feast our eyes, and cameras upon. There were constant tooings and froings in and out of Pickering station with some steam engines being left stationary for quite a while at the platform edge for us all to enjoy looking at really close up. Some members were even lucky enough to climb aboard  the footplate of an engine and engage in conversation with the driver and fireman. All in all we had a variety packed day mainly in and around the NYMR but also in and about Pickering town.
