Well the theme of ‘Music’ clearly struck a chord. We had a bumper number of submissions and a wide range of glorious monochrome interpretations from around the world. They included a mural of Elgar on a bicycle, a choir in an Armenian Monastery, various depictions of sheet music and details of a wide-ranging array of instruments, to live musicians on stage, in rehearsal and on the street. There were silhouettes and smiles, as well as looks of intense concentration. It was particularly pleasing to see some abstract images alongside the more documentary.
