Monochrome Interest Group: People

This will be first meeting of MIG in the post-Roger Walton era. It is impossible to sum up Roger’s contributions to the Club and the energy and imagination that he brought to the Monochrome Interest Group, an offshoot of the Club enjoyed by many of our members. Whilst it will not be possible to fill Roger’s boots, we hope that you will join us for our first attempt to follow in his footsteps.

The topic for the evening will be ’People’ and there will be talks from John Gill on monochrome street portraiture and Andy Towse on the photographer Fan Ho, master of light and shadows and often dubbed the “Cartier-Bresson of the East”.

Monochrome images submitted by members on the topic of ‘People’ will be shown as an audiovisual presentation. We are expecting a wide variety of images, candid and posed, spontaneous and studio, as well as packed with emotion.

It promises to be a highly enjoyable evening and non-members are welcome to attend (£5). Please contact Julia at secretary@bishopthorpecc.co.uk.
