Churches
York has many churches, built in many styles. Most are open to visit and the light inside churches can lead to a huge range of images for the photographer. Whilst the Minster is the most photographed, other churches can offer more intimate images.
If you want to be inspired by some ecclesiastical architecture check out Thibaud Poirier’s amzing Sacred Spaces images in Amateur Photographer. Whilst the Minster is certainly a wondrous building, conventional views are commonplace and it would be hard to compete with Thibaud. Instead why not check out some of the other churches in York (note not all are open on a Monday) or perhaps try adding a creative twist to your photographs or edits. Alternatively, try making a more abstract impression by picking out a detail or an unusual angle. You will find some more suggestions here.
